Councillors have approved a new Education Strategic Plan for 2026-2029 after hearing how Argyll and Bute's Education Service is continuing to deliver on key priorities to improve outcomes for children and young people.

Parents across Argyll and Bute can access free support to help them develop skills, find work, increase their income and build confidence.

Argyll and Bute Council is celebrating continued success in supporting young people to develop skills for life and work, with new figures showing significant growth in employer engagement, work-based learning opportunities and positive post-school destinations through the Developing the Young Workforce (DYW) programme.
